Mary’s love for life is seen in her devotion as artist, photographer, lecturer, and educator of thirty years, with creative digital imagery added within the past ten years. She is an artist keeping up with the fast-moving world, new knowledge and new techniques for creating and rendering images that speak to the human heart.

Marko Perko
History |
Marko has taught for Elderhostel since 1995. Marko is a graduate from the University of Southern California. He has always had an insatiable thirst for knowledge of all types, and as such, he is often regarded as a modern-day Renaissance man. He is the author of the critically acclaimed book entitled Did You Know That...? In addition, Marko Perko is the principal writer of the international bestselling knowledge-based board game Twenty Questions. Moreover, he is creator of the highly respected MarkoPerko.com and is active in software development. Marko has also written for and edited numerous publications, and has worked as a columnist, speechwriter, composer, lecturer, and playwright. |

Ed Hartman
Historian |
Ed has taught for Elderhostel since 1997. Bachelors & Masters Degrees in Education from the University of Arizona. Doctorate in Education from the University of So. California. Teacher & Administrator in the Palm Springs schools for 21 years. Worked as a tour guide throughout the U.S., Canada & Europe for 15 years.For the past 20 years, Ed has worked as a tour guide and lecturer of the local desert area. |

Robert Kline
Films, etc. |
Robert has a long and distinguished career in the entertainment industry. Starting as the original producer of William F. Buckley’s Firing Line, he has produced feature films and television series for more than twenty-five years. For close to a decade, he was V.P. of Production at 20th Century Fox television and, more recently, President and CEO of Todd/AO-TAE. Mr. Kline has recently been a Professor of Film and Television at Chapman University and is currently a visiting lecturer/speaker at the University of Southern California’s Political Science and International Business Schools. |

Archie Sharp Opera & Music |
Archie Sharp has an
extremely diverse background. He was director for the Andy Williams
and Danny Kaye shows. Art director for the Newlywed Game, Perry Como,
Celebrity Challenge of the Sexes, Phyllis Diller and Bob Hope shows
plus many others. Set Designer for over 200 operas. Taught at the UCLA
Film School, California Institute of the Arts and for us at
Elderhostel since 1997. After attending one of his classes you will
never view another film, attend the theater or listen to an opera in
the same way. |
